Although potatoes and corn are vegetables, they are mainly starch. In order to have a balanced diet you have to eat green orange and yellow vegetables each day.

Broccoli is extremely healthy and very low in calories. You should try to enjoy broccoli or other green vegetables such as spinach, lettuce and types of cabbage. Carrots are another great vegetable to eat each day. Carrots have an enormous amount of great vitamin such as beta carotene and deliver essential vitamins to your body.

Squashes and peppers are also a great way to enjoy vegetables. You can use certain types of peppers to liven up your food without salt and artificial flavorings. If you are looking for a great way to live a healthy lifestyle or to lose weight while making sure you get a healthy does of vitamins and minerals, make sure you eat your vegetables.
